Monday: math review goes home (due back Thursday)
Tuesday: complete 1st reflection journal entry
Wednesday: science / social studies assignment comes home
Thursday: complete 2nd reflection journal entry (completed journal due back Friday)
Fifth Grade Homework Expectations
- all fifth graders will have a regular, predictable homework schedule.
- homework will focus on math review & practice, independent reading, review, reinforcement, and application of skills, and written reflections.
- students will read for 15 minutes each night Monday - Thursday from an assigned genre.
- math review will go home on Monday and be due back Thursday.
- reflection journals will go home Tuesday and be due back Friday.
- any science or social studies assignments will go home on Wednesday nights.
- homework should take, at most, 50 minutes per night.
